Troubleshooting

The usual fixes for the problems people run into most. If none of these helps, write to us.

Nothing is showing up yet

Check that you’ve chosen what Noumento may read. On the Sources page, open each source and choose its channels, folders or Notion areas.

How far back Noumento reads, and how often it checks, depends on the source:

  • When you first connect Slack, Noumento reads back about the last 30 days. After that, it checks your chosen Slack channels for new messages a few times a day.
  • When you first connect Teams, Noumento reads back about the last 30 days. After that, it checks your chosen Teams channels for new messages a few times a day.
  • When you first connect Outlook, Noumento reads back about the last 30 days. After that, it checks your chosen Outlook folders for new mail about once a day.
  • When you first connect Granola, Noumento reads the transcripts of meetings from about the last 30 days. After that, it checks for new meetings about every two hours.
  • When you first connect Notion, Noumento reads every page in each area you’ve chosen how to share, however old. After that, it checks for changed pages about every two hours.

If you expected something about pay, people or a deal, see Sensitive topics.

Your team can’t see something you can

What Noumento finds in your sources starts private, visible in Noumento only to you and the assistants you connect. It reaches your team’s record only when you share it, or when you’ve set where it came from to share automatically.

To share something, choose Share on the This week page. More in Reviewing and sharing.

Connecting Microsoft 365 doesn’t work

Your organisation’s IT administrator may need to approve Noumento once before anyone can connect Microsoft 365. If connecting doesn’t work, choose Get a link for your IT administrator on the Sources page and send them the link.

Once they’ve approved it, connect again.

Your assistant won’t connect

Copy the Connector URL and your Client ID from the Your assistant page, and paste each one exactly as shown.

Noumento doesn’t issue a client secret. If your assistant asks for one, leave it empty.

Check you’re following the steps for your assistant in Connecting your assistant.

If your assistant goes 30 days without using Noumento, it has to sign in again.

Follow your assistant’s prompt, sign in to Noumento, and choose Approve on the page that opens.

If it still can’t connect, remove Noumento from your assistant’s settings and add it again.

A source says Needs reconnecting

While a source needs reconnecting, Noumento reads nothing new from it.

On the Sources page, choose Reconnect next to it and sign in to that tool again.

A source says Not collecting: trial ended

When a trial ends, Noumento stops collecting new data. Everything already collected stays available, and you can keep asking about it. The privacy policy says how long it stays after that.

Pricing is agreed after the trial.

A source says Not collecting: turned off by your admin

Your team’s admin can turn a source off for the whole team. While it is off, Noumento reads nothing new from it.

If you need it, ask your team’s admin to allow it again.

Your weekly review didn’t arrive in Slack

Go to Sources, then Slack. Under Weekly review in Slack, the page says whether your review is on and whether it is being sent.

If you can’t find Weekly review in Slack there, ask your team’s admin whether Noumento has been added to Slack.

You don’t see Team or Members

Admins manage the Team and Members pages.

Team and Members appear in the sidebar only for admins. If something there needs changing, ask an admin on your team.

Your invitation didn’t arrive

Ask an admin on your team to choose Resend invitation on your row on the Members page. It’s there until you first sign in.
