Sensitive topics
Some of what people say at work shouldn’t reach a shared record. This page explains which topics Noumento keeps out, and what your admin can change.
The five topics
Noumento checks what it reads for five kinds of sensitive matter: judgements about named people, pay, the company’s own deals and fundraising, legal matters about a person, and personal lives.
By default, content the check flags as one of these five kinds of sensitive matter does not become a thing Noumento knows, for anyone, not even in a private record.
Noumento still receives and keeps the messages, transcripts and pages these topics come up in.
When the check isn’t sure
When the check is unsure, the content is treated as sensitive. When the check cannot run, the content is held back, unshared, and checked again later.
Content the check flags is never shared with the team.
What an admin can change
An admin can let one of these kinds of sensitive matter into each person’s private record, visible only to them and the assistants they connect. Content the check flags as sensitive still never reaches the team.
Admins do this on the Team settings page, under Category exclusions. Each topic shows Excluded or Private only. Choose Allow it to let a topic into private records, or Stop it to exclude it again.
Excluding a kind again applies to what Noumento finds from then on. It does not delete what Noumento has already found.
If something might be about a topic your admin has allowed, your This week page keeps it folded away, with a line naming the topic. Choose Show me to read it.
Who decides
Only admins can change these settings. If you think a topic should be kept out, ask an admin on your team.
