Reviewing and sharing

How to decide what reaches your team, how to share without being asked, and how to take something back.

Everything starts private

What Noumento finds in your sources starts private, visible in Noumento only to you and the assistants you connect. It reaches your team’s record only when you share it, or when you’ve set where it came from to share automatically.

Deciding on This week

The This week page lists what’s waiting for you. Choose Share or Keep private for each thing, or decide a whole card at once.

You can also get this list in Slack. See Slack.

Share something and it’s checked for sensitive matters before it’s inked into your team’s record.

Keep private leaves it in your private record.

Reword lets you put something in your own words. When you share it, Noumento reads your wording as a note from you and checks it for sensitive matters. Anything the check flags stays private, and the wording Noumento first found isn’t shared. This week lists what happened to your recent rewords.

Anything you leave alone stays private to you, and it does not expire, unless you set where it came from to share automatically.

Things found together

Noumento also keeps short passages from your sources, such as the background to a decision or the reason behind it. Things Noumento finds together in one source share a card, facts and passages alike. Together means the new messages it read at one time from one Slack or Teams channel or chat, or from one email conversation, or one Granola meeting, Notion page or note your assistant saved.

Each card says which source its things came from and when. A thing found on its own is shown on its own, and so is anything the sensitivity check wasn’t sure about.

Share all shares everything on the card that the page can show you, passages from conversations included. Each one is checked for sensitive matters first, as with Share. Keep all private does what Keep private does, for everything on the card, once you confirm.

You can reword a fact, but not a passage.

Passages from Notion pages and from notes your assistant saves are proposed for sharing. Passages from conversations usually aren’t. Proposed for sharing with your team is a suggestion. It doesn’t share anything by itself. A passage from a conversation reaches your team only if you share it, on its own or with Share all, or set where it came from to share automatically.

Sharing automatically

On the Sources page, open a source to choose how each channel, folder or Notion area is shared: Off, Personal only, With review or Automatic.

Every channel and folder starts on review: nothing from it is shared until the member approves.

With Automatic, what Noumento finds there is shared with your team without asking, but only once the sensitivity check confirms it isn’t sensitive. Anything the check can’t confirm comes to This week for you to decide, and so does anything Noumento can’t match to that channel, folder or area.

Changing how something is shared affects only what Noumento finds after the change.

Taking something back

Open About me, find the thing you shared, and choose Pull it back.

A member can take back something they shared, and the team stops seeing it unless another member shared it too.

Pulling something back can’t recall answers your colleagues have already had.
