Microsoft 365

Before you start

One Microsoft sign-in connects both Teams and Outlook mail.

Your organisation’s IT administrator may need to approve Noumento once before anyone can connect Microsoft 365. If connecting doesn’t work, choose Get a link for your IT administrator on the Sources page and send them the link.

Then open Teams and Microsoft 365 mail on the Sources page and choose the channels and folders Noumento may read. You’ll see the channels of the teams you belong to.

What Noumento reads

From Slack and Microsoft 365 it reads messages only from the channels and mail folders each member chooses, and nothing is chosen for them.

In Microsoft Teams it reads channel messages only, never one-to-one or group chats.

In Outlook it reads the messages in the chosen folders, including their text, but not blind-copy recipients.

It does not read calendars, or files kept in Microsoft 365.

It does not download attachments or files from any source.

The connectors only read: they do not post, send, edit or delete anything in your tools.

How far back, and how often

When you first connect Teams, Noumento reads back about the last 30 days. After that, it checks your chosen Teams channels for new messages a few times a day.

When you first connect Outlook, Noumento reads back about the last 30 days. After that, it checks your chosen Outlook folders for new mail about once a day.

If you delete something in Teams or Outlook

Deleting a message in Teams or an email in Outlook does not remove what Noumento has already read from it.

Disconnecting

On the Sources page, Teams and Microsoft 365 mail each have their own Disconnect.

Disconnecting a source stops Noumento reading it and deletes the stored credential, unless another of the member’s connections still uses it.

Disconnecting a source does not delete what Noumento has already read from it.

Disconnecting Microsoft 365 in Noumento does not cancel the permissions you gave Noumento in Microsoft 365.

To cancel them in Microsoft 365 too, go to My Apps at myapplications.microsoft.com, open the menu on Noumento, choose Manage your application, then Revoke Permissions.

If your admin turns a source off

Your team’s admin can turn a source off for the whole team. While it is off, Noumento reads nothing new from it.

How Noumento handles your data: Security and privacy and the Privacy policy.
