Asking questions

Once your assistant is connected, ask it about your work in your own words, as you would a colleague.

Where answers come from

Noumento answers your assistant from your own private record and your team’s record, and nothing else.

No member’s assistant can read another member’s private record.

Noumento gives your assistant the source of each thing it sends, where it has one, and asks your assistant to name it. Your assistant writes the answer.

Reading an answer

Noumento tells your assistant when something is uncertain or may be out of date, and asks it not to present that as settled.

When something has changed, Noumento asks your assistant to say what it was and what it is now.

Noumento leaves out anything you can’t see. A short answer doesn’t prove nothing else exists.

Noumento asks your assistant to decline questions that ask it to judge a person, such as their performance or conduct. It can still answer questions about a person’s work, their access or what they know how to do.

Saving a note

You can ask your assistant to save something to Noumento, such as a decision from a call it wasn’t part of.

If you ask it to, your assistant can save a note to Noumento. The note is private to you until you share it.

Where you can ask

You ask through the assistant you’ve connected. Asking Noumento in Slack or Teams isn’t available.

Questions to try

A few to start with:

  • “What have I worked on this week?”
  • “What’s been decided on Acme, and what’s still open?”
  • “Who owns the Stripe integration now?”
  • “Why did we agree a custom SLA with Acme?”

Answers about your team come from what people have shared, so they grow as your team shares more.
